4 Dreams is an exhibition soundtrack by musician Zsela in collaboration with Daniel Aged and Taul Katz. Originally commissioned for the exhibition Seven Heavenly Senses, the music now takes on a life of its own as a standalone release.
The album consists of four tracks shaped by a hazy, hypnotic sensibility. Each piece dissolves into the next, guiding the listener through ethereal passages defined by mesmerizing harp motifs and spellbinding string arrangements. Both calming and gently propulsive, the compositions open a space where time feels suspended and the senses roam freely.
While the exhibition explored the interplay of the seven senses through a dialogue of historical and contemporary works, 4 Dreams drifted above and around the objects on view, acting as a guiding hand through the space. On its own, the compositions bring this contemplative and timeless state out of the museum and into everyday life, offering a moment of stillness within a busy world.
The cover art is a detail of a painting by American-Haitian visual artist Naudline Pierre, whose practice revolves around appropriating iconography from art history to create her own mythology and dreamlike narratives.
